Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service.

Your use of Neuranum is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

Neuranum provides dedicated Personal Cloud Nodes. Each node is a single-tenant server provisioned on your behalf. By using Neuranum, you agree to the following terms.

2. Prohibited Activities

Sending unsolicited email (spam) from any port
Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or network attacks
DDoS attacks or participation in botnets
Hosting malware, phishing pages, or command-and-control servers
Cryptocurrency mining (wastes shared CPU resources)
Copyright infringement or distribution of illegal content
Any activity that would generate abuse complaints to infrastructure providers
Disabling, tampering with, or interfering with the monitoring agent installed on managed nodes
Use of the service in violation of United States export control laws (EAR) or OFAC sanctions
Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing Neuranum service access or generated configurations without written authorization

3. Monitoring Disclosure

All Neuranum-managed nodes include an automated monitoring agent that reports connection metrics to the platform for abuse detection. This agent measures connection counts, bandwidth usage, and destination IP diversity. It does not routinely inspect packet contents. Neuranum reserves the right to inspect traffic metadata when investigating credible abuse reports.

DIY nodes include the same agent but users may disable it — abuse liability remains with the DIY user regardless.

4. Enforcement

Instant Termination — No Warning

Spam traffic detected (any SMTP connections)
Mass port scanning (10,000+ unique destination IPs)
Botnet-level activity (10,000+ simultaneous connections)
Extreme bandwidth abuse exceeding tier limits

Results in: immediate node destruction, permanent account ban, subscription cancellation, no refund.

Suspension — 12-Hour Response Window

Suspicious bandwidth spikes exceeding soft limits
Unusual connection volume (5,000+ connections)
Sustained 100% CPU for 2+ hours

You will receive an email notification. If no response within 12 hours, your node will be terminated and your account banned.

Second Offense

Permanent ban, no reinstatement.

5. Dispute Policy

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank will result in immediate account termination, node destruction, and permanent ban. All disputes are subject to the dispute resolution process outlined in our Terms of Service. If you have billing concerns, contact support first at s*****t@***.com.

6. Refund Policy

No refunds on destroyed nodes, regardless of reason. Nodes are billed monthly. When you stop paying, the node is destroyed immediately. No grace period. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

7. User Responsibility for Guests

If you invite guests to share your node, you are fully responsible for their compliance with this AUP.

Violations by your guests are treated as violations by you.
